Intro To the Weekly S#!t Post
The Weekly S#!t Post is a newsletter about Decentralized Finance & Internet of Value.
The primary purpose of this substack is, to document experiments with Web3 projects and to try and simulate scenarios to log errors and mishaps, so folks working with limited capital and starting for the first time can have a how-to guide of sorts to reference before they dive-in.
Why Should you trust me?
To be Absolutely honest, you shouldn’t “trust” anything I say, I am not a financial advisor, and nothing I say in this substack is financial advice. This is all educational content you can use as a starting off point for your own research initiatives.
Having said that, I have been in this space for quite some time now, the 2021 mania cycle was my third cycle, I officially entered this space in 2014-2015 bear market, came very close to Capitulating/Quitting in the depths of 2018 bear market, but I powered through the bear market with a rice and ramen diet and stuck around for the 2020 DeFi Summer, which changed my life significantly and made me realize this space had started maturing. Developers were flocking to this sector to build cool products, which sparked new trends.
I’ve hacked my way, albeit not gracefully through this Web3 world of ours and in my experiments with the truth about this industry, I realized that this market rewards participants and early adopters far more than speculators.
Which lead me to the decision to start this educational substack as i embark upon this “experiment” so to speak.
There’s real $$$ at stake here so, I figured people might appreciate a somewhat useful how-to guide that helps them learn how to experiment and become an early adopter in this web3 world.
I will do my best to keep things neutral, non-speculative and utility centric.
👛 My Debank Wallet (shitcoinornot.eth)
If you are interested in tracking my wallet and seeing what I’m doing and how I am navigating in this “Web3 World” feel free to follow me on debank.com.
It’s the best portfolio tracker (in addition to Zapper & Zerion) to track crypto portfolios. Think of it like a summary of your holdings and investments.
Every Monday, I’ll do an update on my “Holdings ” documenting my decision making and rationale behind the projects that are in my wallet.
😨 Why did I dox myself and share my wallet?
While terrifying, I’m choosing to leverage the tools at my disposal to provide complete transparency from Day 1 to my readers.
I’ve seen a lotta folks, give people advice but very few are transparent.
I wish to normalise financial transparency to some degree by taking a: “Here’s what I’m doing, let's all learn from each other and grow together” approach.
I also figured most individuals today would be starting with a similar amount, so it could be fun to see if me and my readers can all grow this tiny stash to a significant sum together.
